Prelude

Ours is one of the premiers Degree College after the name of the celebrated scientist Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose. Catering good education to hundreds of learners for years together. We sincerely recognize and reward the excellence for bringing out the best from our students, to motivate our faculties and employees in exceeding their limitation only to raise the standard of educational excellence in the society. We strongly believe that education is the continuous process of adjustment with the environment and so we are always in the motto of attributing the idea into the minds of our disciples so that they may harbinger the glorious future of Bengal.

Topography

The college campus is situated in a very posh locality of central Kolkata in the heart of the city. Two main Railways stations one at Sealdah and the other at Howrah, connecting all the salient corners of country, are within a radius of about 4 kilometers from the college. The Dum Dum Airport is about 15 Km from college. The total area of the college is bearing the address 1/1B, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road, Kolkata 700020, West Bengal, India, situated at the crossing of Pritoria Street and A.J.C.Bose Road (formerly known as Lower Circular Road)

Prospective Contrivance

The salient objectives of the college authority is to develop properly schemed infrastructure that goes hand in hand with the present day education technology so that the students may find their best from the lessons given to them. This certainly demands for a good building consisting of well-equipped lecture halls, laboratories seminar halls and library. This is why a building committee has already been formed by including civil and Architect Engineers with reputation and in accordance with their suggestion and advice, the public work department (P.W.D), Government of West Bengal, has been requested to take up the job for construction of a new building of covered area nearly 0.6415 acre. The idea behind the construction is to generate enough space so that Honours Courses in many areas may be offered. We are also seriously thinking of opening new courses on some uncommon subjects like Biotechnology, Biomatrix, Hospitality, Management etc. which are mostly sought for by the industrialists or the corporate sectors. We also feel the necessity for opening new avenues for distant education only to cater education to the remote corners of the state obviously, the dream can be embedded to reality only when the infrastructure be properly developed.

Solicitation

We know that the sky is high but at the same time we strongly believe that it is not incomprehensible. We are never in the mood of refusing our dinner simply because the entire process of digestion is not clear to us. The struggling experience that we have earned through the long way journey provides us enough impetuous to make solemn affirmation that we must put our entire endeavour to set up a good institution of reputation with a definite motto enlighting the learners to go beyond their limitation, to build up their career as a fruitful instrument for the development of the country and to inspire themselves to earn leadership for clearing all the evils of the society caused by unfortunate illiteracy and awful communal feeling.

Certainly, it goes without saying that such commitment can only be made if we are always endowed with the valuable advice and cooperation from every corner of the world. Let me, therefore, place my heartfelt appeal to the good self of all concerned, to respond so that the zealous dream of all staffs of the college may land into reality.
