ISTRUCTIONS FOR ASPIRING B.ED TRAINEES FOR THE SESSION 2010—11.

1. Must score 50% marks either at UG/PG level where the candidates must have studied any one of the method-subjects offered by the college. A concession of 5% marks will be applicable for the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. In that case the candidate must produce concerned certificates offered by the concerned West Bengal state government officials.

2. List of Method Subjects: a) Bengali, b) Hindi, c) English, d) Mathematics, e) Physical Sc. (Physics, Chemistry), f) Life Sc. (Zoology, Botany), g) History, h) Geography, i) Political Sc.  Among the above-mentioned method subjects two must be studied either at the UG/PG level.

3. To opt for Measurement and Evaluation in Education as Special Paper candidates must have studied Mathematics as optional paper at UG/PG level.

4. Hons/Graduation and MA should be in the same subject. Otherwise credit will not be awarded either on UG or PG degree.

5. Age Limit for Fresher Candidates: 35 for general candidates and 40 for the SC/ST candidates.

6. There are 50 seats for the deputed candidates (from the State Govt. aided and recognized Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools) and 50 for the Fresher Candidates (among which 5% seats will be reserved for the candidates who last studied in the Indian universities other than the University of Calcutta). Among the total 100 seats 2% will be reserved for the PH (Physically Handicapped) candidates.

7. All the duly attested required photocopies of the concerned documents should be attached along with the filled in application form. The originals must be produced at the time of verification.

8. Verification of the filled-in forms will start on and from 2nd March, 2010. Detailed scheduled will be published later on on the college notice-board and the website.

9. A candidate must submit one photocopy of the filled-in and signed application form (without any document) along with the original filled-in forms.
